“I can see that hard work pays off,” says Aleksandar in the video — a sentence that perhaps best sums up his journey. He wants to show that agriculture today can be both a life mission and a sustainable business, especially when tradition is combined with knowledge and modern approaches.
Aleksandar develops his farm patiently and systematically: he chooses high-quality planting material, invests in knowledge, technology, and organization, because, as he says — “there are no yields without order.” His message to other producers is simple: whoever has a vision and a plan has a future in the countryside.
Support That Drives Growth
Through the Serbia Competitive Agriculture Project (SCAP), which provides funding under the 50:40:10 model, Aleksandar secured funds to purchase new machinery — a tractor, atomizer, and GPS navigation system — all of which helped him improve production, reduce labor costs, and implement his ideas faster.
This support allowed him to invest exactly when it was most needed — at the stage of developing and expanding his orchard. Aleksandar recommends to all fellow farmers that they apply to public calls, as such programs can significantly help modernize and advance their production.
